What else can we offer you during your stay at West Pusehill Farm Cottages?
Well, the family have lived at Pusehill for four generations. Becky and Martin, who will be your hosts, currently live in the farmhouse. Their local knowledge and contacts mean there is nothing they can't find out and help you with.
The 40 ft.heated swimming pool has plenty of room for sunbathing, facing due south it catches the sun all day. From here the view to the west up the Kenwith Valley, across Bideford Bay to Clovelly, 8 miles away, is absolutely stunning.
The children's play area is where the humans are penned in and the animals look on. In the same part of the paddock is the barbeque, along with some picnic tables for eating and garden chairs for the odd G. & T.
In the mornings children are welcome to help Becky feed the chickens and collect the eggs – “mucking out” is optional. She’ll also introduce them to Stevie Wonder, the blind sheep, Bob the elderly goat and her two latest additions, Hugo and Hector, the kune kune pigs. When eggs are plentiful you can purchase fresh eggs for breakfast – how good is that!
Surrounding the complex are 15 acres of farmland where you can walk the dog, fly a kite or just simply admire the stunning countryside and coastline.
However if you feel the need to stray a little further there's a public footpath across the fields leading to Cornborough Cliffs and the coastal footpath. Kipling Tors at the top of Pusehill has a footpath leading to Westward Ho! Village and Beach (only three quarters of a mile).
Put all this together and what have you got - a perfect holiday.
